Dragons

As part of my development for a new project (character design for a childrens story) I chose to look at dragons. I drew the first one with Ink, liquid eyeliner and pencil. The second one was with pencil.

Introducing myself and influences.

This being my first time attempting blogging, I feel I should introduce myself, explain what I do and what I intend to do in future ^^. I'm Sarah, I'm currently a first year student at the University of Wolverhampton, doing a course on Illustration. However, I also have a huge interest in story writing, poems, animation, movies and occasionally photography. I tend to work mostly around basic drawing for when I want to loosen up, but I also enjoy a stimulating challenge. Now I'll stop using big words and be normal for now.

I remember being asked about influences when I was younger, and even now being asked who inspires my work. The truth is, a lot of things inspire me, even if I don't realise it. Gaming visuals, character designs and settings in any form of media tend to be the most eye catching, but other times something as simple as an off hand comment sparks ideas.

Hopefully when I learn more about managing blogs, photo uploads and giving credit to the right people, I'll be able to show examples ^^
